As of now, our summer camp plans include planning, prepping and our main focus is to be ready to serve AS MANY campers as possible within whatever context we can. We want to be sure that we can do this safely and with all of the attention to detail that you have come to expect from us. While it is much too soon for us to make a real prediction as to what that might look like, we will keep you updated as we have news to share. Our sessions are full for male campers and limited spots are available for female campers. New campers may apply for future approval.

WD7 4946Since 1979, Horizons Summer Camp has been a breath of fresh air for campers and their families. Offered for eight weeks each summer, our camp provides campers opportunities to explore horseback riding, swimming, boating, arts, fitness, drama, movement and dance, pioneering, music, language arts, physical education and more with the help of engaging and well-trained instructors. Campers and counselors bunk together in comfortable cabins.

Campers ride horses at the riding ring with tack house and enjoy the arts & crafts, woodworking and pottery barn. Acres of trees and open space provide the setting for a waterfront with a sandy beach, docks and boats.

The swimming pool, lighted outdoor tennis courts, miniature-golf course, basketball court, playing fields and the many cabins to house campers and staff are enjoyed by all.

Camp Horizons offers all of the experiences you might expect to find in a summer camp…and more! Our 5:1 camper-counselor ratio, plus program instructors and staff, allows us to work closely with each camper to provide individualized attention to his or her special area of need, including maintenance of academic skills, socialization, personal hygiene, independence, and development of leisure time skills. Campers attend three programs in the morning and four in the afternoon. Evening activities are opportunities for the entire camp to come together for entertainment such as campfires, dances, movies, field games and music.
